After the shredding of the waste, the waste will be transported by a rolling belt towards the first section of separation equipment, the eddy current. Eddy Current is a powerful magnetic field that uses high frequency to change the polarity in order to separate the magnetic and non-magnetic wastes.

After the separation of magnetic and nonmagnetic materials, the materials will all go through a separation mechanism consisting of Fines Screens and BioScreens. These two machines are capable of separating sand, glass, and soil from the wastes as well as separating the oversized materials for secondary crushes.
Not only does it separate magnetic and nonmagnetic materials, but it’s also capable of separating inert materials, such as bricks, stones, residual metal, and PVC water pipe fragments. Thus, increasing the potential for the rise of the calorific value of materials which can increase the efficiency of the SRF process.
